If a UGA Extension Energy Educator cannot be reached, please use this reference guide to help the consumer with his or her natural gas needs.

1. To report a gas leak or for natural gas emergencies call: Atlanta Gas Light at 1-877-427-4321

2. Call before you dig! Dial 8-1-1 or 1-800-282-7411

3. If a consumer is having a problem paying their natural gas bill, they should contact their natural gas marketer first. For a current list of certified natural gas marketers in the AGL service area: www.psc.state.ga.us/gas/certified_marketers.asp or call the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC) at 1-800-282-5813 or 404-656-4501.

4. If the consumer is having trouble working with their natural gas marketer and would like to speak to someone else, refer the customer to the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC):

5. If a consumer is looking for information in order to switch natural gas marketers, they can either call the GPSC at 1-800-282-5813 or 404-656-4501 or you can refer them to the following website for current rates, plans, and marketers: www.psc.state.ga.us/gas/pricecard.asp

8. For information about the regulated provider, SCANA (natural gas marketer of last resort for people with bad credit):

9. If a consumer has received a disconnection notice and needs assistance paying their natural gas bill, you can refer them to the local agency.
